December was a month full of learning and fun! Here are a few of the highlights---
We met with our Senior Mentors and explained the science behind making butter, then we enthusiastically shook our jars of cream to make homemade butter. We also learned about Emily Dickenson and how she dropped goodies down to children. We played charades and wished the seniors good luck on their upcoming finals!

Next up, the Holiday Concert. I am so proud of the enthusiastic performance of our fifth graders. They sounded amazing!
YUM! Sharing our Summative Assessments and working on our Scientific Cookbooks.
We enjoyed our trip to Hawaii Pacific University, where we experienced a day in the college science lab and conducted experiments to learn more about chemistry. Thank you to Juliana's mom and Evan's mom for chaperoning!
Have a relaxing and fun filled vacation! I am looking forward to the New Year and the learning ahead...
See you in January.
